A Garden Grows in Kekaha
The garden site at St. Paul's is now home to the Growing Good initiative. This project encourages home-based food growing and island self sufficiency by sharing plants and box planters with the island's young working families. This year we began distributing our planters and provided growing advice to Hawaiian homesteaders and essential worker households. We also shared seedlings this summer with St. Paul's church members. A new garden layout will improve the site as both a demonstration venue and Bible garden. New plantings will begin in October. |
