The Rev. Kerry Holder Joffrion receives a warm island welcome at her installation
The Rev Kerry Holder Joffrion received a warm island welcome on April 24, 2022, at St John’s Episcopal Church in Ele’ele as the new Vicar of the Episcopal Church on West Kaua’i. Bishop Robert Fitzpatrick and a host of clergy, congregation and guests welcomed her new ministry at the church with Ho’okupu (gifts), Hula (dance)and Ha’awina (prayer). The new Vicar joins the church in service in Hawai’i and comes from the Diocese of Alabama. Please come by and have a cup of coffee with the new Vicar any Thursday at 322 Mehana Road, Ele’ele.
The Rev Kerry Holder Joffrion is called Kahu Kerry by her beloved students at the Kanaka Ni’ihauan Charter School. She is an M. Div. graduate of Princeton Theological Seminary and has been honored to serve people as priest for over thirty years. This call is no exception. “It is with a grateful heart, I come to Kaua’i,” said Kahu Kerry “to serve the community in God’s love with such fine people at ECWK.”
